Food!

We'll have an hour for lunch everyday. You can go out, bring your own, fast, work, meditate, whatever. For those of you interested in going out, I am starting a list of restaurants in the immediate vicinity of WMU.

Saffron: the keema naan (lamb stuffed bread) with raita (yogurt) is cheap and amazing.

Zoorona: the chicken cream chop sandwich is da bomb.

Hunan Gardens: This is classic Chinese done incredibly right. If you want to get real, ask for the Chinese menu and tell Keith that Shaun sent you. Then order the chitlins (#32 spicy intestine) and be prepared to have your world rocked. If that's not your thing, the steamed dumplings, pad thai (yes, it's Thai, yes, they absolutely get it right), and most anything off the noodle menu is great.

Martini's: Italian done right, prolly will have bad service, but it's still worth it. The slices are great, the sandwiches are definitely done right, the meat balls and bread is a great choice, honestly, they get most everything right besides the fact that you are a paying customer who may deserve more than a scowl and an occasional condescending glance for coming in their restaurant.

Rasa Ria: Indonesian/Malay. Lots of good stuff here- I love the Mi Siam, the roti canai (get an extra roti), and if you're feeling "in country" the Nasi Goreng Kampung is my favorite. If they have the curry puffs, definitely get one, but you'll be lucky to get these cuz they're always out.

The Den: Yes, they have food, and it's good. Sammies. Good prices.

to be cont...
